Undergraduate (UG) Ayurveda Programme

BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) — 4½ year programme + 1 year compulsory internship, affiliated to RGUHS and regulated by NCISM, providing a strong foundation in classical Ayurveda and modern medical sciences.

Postgraduate (PG) Ayurveda courses, primarily Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Surgery (MS), are 3-year advanced programs for BAMS graduates. Regulated by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), they blend traditional ancient texts with modern clinical practices, equipping doctors for specialized clinical practice, research, and academia.

Core Objectives & Course Structure

The curriculum goes beyond basic Ayurvedic philosophy to focus on intensive, evidence-based research, specialized therapeutics, and interdisciplinary learning.

Popular Specializations (MD / MS)

PG courses offer over 14 distinct disciplines. The degree for an MD specialist is Ayurveda Vachaspati, and for an MS specialist, it is Ayurveda Dhanvantari.

Admissions Process & Eligibility

Eligibility:

Candidates must hold a BAMS degree from a recognized institution and have successfully completed their mandatory rotatory internship.

Entrance Exam:

Admission is primarily determined by the AIAPGET (All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test).
